Mike Mellencamp is a progressive COO, a strategic thinker, and an ardent advocate for operational excellence and efficiency. Born and raised in Haddonfield, NJ, he discovered his passion for soccer and roller hockey, eventually shaping his leadership skills at Wheaton College  in Norton, MA. A distinguished graduate of Wheaton with majors in International Relationships and minors in Economics, his academic laurels fueled his passion for the successful career he enjoys today. 

In 2006, Mike embarked on his journey at Tucker Company Worldwide. His growth there was nothing short of exceptional, as he rose through the ranks, handling diverse roles in operations, sales, and management. His notable contributions include leading Tucker's truckload visibility initiative and coordinating super load projects across the country. Mike's innovative approach was marked by his invitation and participation in the Transportation Intermediaries Association's Technology Committee in 2018. He not only contributed his insights but also shared his acumen with others while speaking at the Technovations conference.

In tandem with his flourishing career, Mike is a family man too. In 2014, he tied the knot with his sweetheart, and they now share a beautiful life in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. His pursuit for knowledge didn't stop with his career milestones. Mike added to his academic repertoire by completing his MBA in Strategic Management and Analytics from Villanova University in 2020.

In 2023, Mike took over as the COO at Tucker. His strategic alignment of Tucker's operations and technology to market forces continues to uphold the company's reputation as an industry leader in service and value managing the most complex freight. 

Fate had additional plans for Mike when he was diagnosed with cancer in Fall 2025. Rather than letting it diminish his spirit, he decided to face it head-on and continue with his professional commitments. As he battles with his diagnosis, he continues to work tirelessly to expand Tucker's capabilities. His situation is far from being unique these days, yet Mike wishes to use his experience as a beacon of strength and awareness for others fighting similar battles.
